On August 29, 2026, the Endorphin Session took place at the Schirrhof in Kamp-Lintfort as a participatory dance and sound intervention. The event was part of the “Stadtbesetzung” cultural program organized by the Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh.

Contemporary dance strategies met club culture. Central to the event were the joy of coming together through dance, nonverbal encounters, and the experience of energy as a social phenomenon.

From an installation-based setting, a temporary space emerged that intensified, shifted, and transformed over the course of the event. A guided session lasting approximately 60 minutes, led by dance artist Bettina Nampé, guided participants through somatic impulses and low-threshold movement exercises into a shared rhythm. It was accompanied by a live set by musician Christopher Collings (electronics, trumpet, DJ set).

The focus was on the question of how energy unfolds within a collective: How is movement transmitted? When does a group begin to resonate? And what happens when difference does not divide but instead generates a shared dynamic? Dance as a form of listening—as a physical practice that opens up spaces of resonance and fosters a temporary sense of community.

For Kamp-Lintfort, the session became an artistic and social gesture that activated the urban space and brought to life how new forms of urban resonance can emerge.
